Seedling planter is the key equipment to achieve efficient mechanization of rice cultivation, with the continuous development of China’s agricultural equipment manufacturing,automation equipment loading rate is gradually improved,therefore, the demand of automation to improve seedling planting equipment has become higher and higher. In the current field of agricultural equipment, the automation of seedling planting equipment is still not high enough, most remain in the artificial control stage, no longer meet the development requirements of automation and intelligent in agricultural equipment manufacturing and national development strategy. This paper is based on PLC and configuration software combination of lower computer integrated monitoring system, to achieve seedling planter automatic monitoring and control has great significance.This paper analyzed the principle of seedling planter by the research group’s self-developed, completed the overall structure and design of hardware and software of seedling planter monitoring system. This system takes PLC and Kingview configuration monitoring software as the core, established the monitoring system includes signal acquisition, data processing, equipment and implementation of PC display. Hardware design is mainly based on the principle of each part to design, includes main control unit design, execution module design, signal acquisitionmodule design and power supply design. On the basis of hardware, using GX-Developer to design lower computer software, it mainly includes the design of control software for the motion of sucker suction, the subroutine of PLC and inverter communication and the design of analog signal software. PC monitoring interface mainly includes main control interface, user management interface, alarms and events interface and reporting system. Besides, the system also considers anti-jamming design.In order to verify the feasibility and accuracy of seedling planter monitoring system, before the experiment, use GX-Simulator to offline simulation debugging on the system. then takes super rice "Y Liangyou3" bud seed as experimental object to debug test, including lower computer experiment, PC and institutional positioning error test experiments. Finally, through the detection of tank test and record the data, the results showed that seedling planter monitoring system works stable、monitor screen-friendly, higher degree of automation, the work efficiency can reach 400 plates per hour, the suction efficiency can reach about 97%, meet the functional and performance requirements of monitoring system basically.
