Objective:By observing the methods of nape plus tongue acupuncture and only nape acupuncture in treating pseudobulbar after cerebral infarction.Compare the effects of these two methods in improving swallowing and linguistic functions.Improve the selections of acupoints in treating pseudobulbar palsy.Methods:Sixty patients with pseudobulbar palsy were randomly allocated to nape plus tongue acupuncture group and nape acupuncture group, thirty cases each, The nape plus tongue acupuncture group received nape acupuncture plus tongue acupuncture and the nape acupuncture group received nape acupuncture only.Results:The nape plus tongue acupuncture group’s total effective rate is 93.3% and the nape acupuncture group’s total effective rate is 83.3% in swallowing functions. The nape plus tongue acupuncture group’s total effective rate is 90.0% and the nape acupuncture group’s total effective rate is 73.3% in linguistic functions.There were statistically significant pre-posttreatment differences in graded swallowing and linguistic functions in both groups (P<0.05). And the difference between-groups after treatment is significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:1. Nape plus tongue acupuncture and only nape acupuncture have effects on pseudobulbar palsy.2. Nape plus tongue acupuncture has a better clinical therapeutic effect on pseudobulbar palsy.
