Lilium pumilum is a perennial herb, not only has good ornamental value, but also has a clear medical functions。Saponins have many health care functions. They can be used as a treatment of anti-tumor,anti-oxidation,anti-bacterial,assimilate cholesterol and the role of immune regulation. A reference for the protection, development and utilization resources of Lilium pumilum is rovided. By the processes of Lilium pumilum bulb saponins extraction, separation, purification, antioxidant activities and antibacterial effects. The major results were shown as follows:1. Optimization for ultrasonic extraction process of saponins from Lilium pumilum bulbTo optimize the ultrasonic extraction technology of saponins from Lilium pumilum bulb, effects of technological conditions, ethanol concentration, liquid-material ratio, ultrasonic time and extract temperature on extraction yields of saponins from Lilium pumilum bulb were determined individually. The method of response surface analysis with Box-Behnken Design was adopted on the basis of single-factor experiment. The optimum technological conditions were: 72.00%, ethanol concentration, 16.00:1m L/g liquid-material ratio, 12.00 min ultrasonic time and 62.00℃ extract temperature. Under such conditions, the actual value of saponins extraction rate was 6.314 mg/g, which was basically coincident with the predicted value 6.320 mg/g.2. Study on Separation and Purification of Saponins from Lilium pumilum Bulb by Macroporous Adsorption ResinStudied the adsorption and desorption behaviours of three different types of resins for saponins from Lilium pumilum bulb, and then screened a resin had better purification effect on saponin, that was D101 macroporous adsorption resin. The effect of D101 macroporous adsorption resin on purification and adsorption capacity of saponins formLilium pumilum bulb of the influence factors of the process parameters is studied. The results show that the adsorption conditions is sample liquid concentration 6mg/m L, p H8 and elution condition is alcohol concentration 70%, 0.5BV/h elution velocity, The purity of saponins increased 4.35 times under these conditions of purification.3. Study on anti-oxidation activity of saponins in Lilium pumilum bulbThe results of the antioxidant experiments of the saponins from Lilium pumilum bulb show that: When the experimental concentration is 2.0mg/m L, the absorbance of the restore ability is 0.945, and absorbance is positively correlated with anti-reducing power. When the experimental concentration is 5.0mg/m L, the scavenging rate of the hydroxyl radical(·OH) system is 59.68%;When the experimental concentration is 1.0mg/m L, the scavenging rate of the superoxide radical(O2-·) system is 40.58%, When the experimental concentration is 1.5mg/m L, the scavenging rate of the DPPH system is 76.06%. The above figures show that saponins from Lilium pumilum bulb have obvious antioxidant acitivity.4. Study on anti-bacterial activity of saponins in Lilium pumilum bulbBy filter paper method, through the study of saponins from Lilium pumilum bulb anti-bacterial effect to Monilia albican, Staphylococcus albus, Escherichia coli, Shigella Castellani, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus lemon, Salmonella typhi,Fusarium oxysporum. sp. cucumeris, Fusarium oxysporum. Sp. vasinfectum, Valsa mali, it showed that Lilium pumilum bulb saponins had antibiotic effect to the four germs, especially to Staphylococcus albus and Staphylococcus aureus had strong bacteriostasis.
