China is an ancient country with a history of five thousand years of culture. However, inthe current global culture dissemination pattern, the developed countries gain the initiative inthe voice and culture. In China, the Chinese traditional culture is lost, but the modern Westernculture and the fast food are accelerating the influx. Facing the cultural transmission "deficit",Chinese culture how to develop, how to spread, this is the problem of Chinese culture now.Study Report of the development of Chinese Documentary (2013) sets2012as the firstyear of Chinese documentary brand. A Bite of China was in vogue overnight after it was airedthough Fascinating Documentary and the Documentary Channel, in a little over a year, it wasaired in43countries and regions in the world, made a great success. Its success thanks to theform of documentary transmission. Documentary based on the real, as the mirror of thehistory and the national photo album, has incomparable advantages in cultural heritage.Under the big background of global culture dissemination, this paper takes thedocumentary A Bite of China an example to study and analyze it from the perspective ofcultural transmission by Lasswell’s "5W mode". In this section, the paper puts particularemphasis on the dissemination content and dissemination effects research of A Bite of China.In the side of dissemination effects research, I borrowed the questionnaire made by CNTVand a summary of these comments on YouTube to analyse. In the culture communicationstrategy, through Communication, Brand Strategy and the Cultivation Theory to study andresearch it. The success of A Bite of China is significant to the development of Chinesedocumentary, it opens up a new way of thinking for the construction of Chinese cultural softpower and Chinese culture dissemination.
