| The American presidential debate has been attracting more and more people’s attentiondomestically. To be a good interpreter on the presidential debate, besides having a goodknowledge of the topics appeared in the debate he or she has to be equipped with certaininterpreting skills which have become a critical element for a successful interpretation. Theauthor chose the first of the2012presidential debates interpreting as a simultaneous one andfound out the difficulties and problems he had encountered and tried to solve these problemsunder the guide of the interpretive theory. The report aims to summarize certain interpretingstrategies applying to the presidential debate by presenting as many examples as possible. |
