The paper consists of three parts, namely, the source text of Collaborative ValueCreation: A Review of Partnering Between Nonprofits and Businesses: Part I. ValueCreation Spectrum and Collaboration Stages, the Chinese version translated by the authorand the report on the translation. Through studying the economic value, social value, andenvironmental value co-created by NPO and businesses for society, organizations andindividuals, the source text redefines value creation, researches the different types of valuecreation among different collaborative stages. The research provides a new sight to relativescholars. The translation of such an informative text is of significance to the translatorbecause it helps her to deepen her understanding of translation theories as well asimproving her translation skills.The translation report introduces some basic information about the source text, layingspecial emphasis on its linguistic features. Then it analyzes in detail the Skopos Theoryproposed by Christiana Nord and Katharina Reiss etc. and how the author and translatorapplies the theory to practice by trying to realize skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelityrule in her translation. The experience gained from this translation experience is thensummed up.
