Self-concept is everybody’s recognition of themselves and the recognition oftheir relationship with the environment. If the individual is satisfactory for valuejudgment of themselves, they would have positive self-concept; in the oppositecase, if we have negative emotions, we would have negative self-concept. Inadolescence, students’ development of the self-concept plays an important role onthe development of students’ all life, and has a strong and lasting impact.Individual lives in the community when we born in the family, of course, welive in communities that provide support and accompany for us in the different stagesof growth. As the part of the community, school provide effective experience ofgroup counseling, professional knowledge and skills for students. Schools promotestudents’ mental health by setting scheme, creation relaxed studying environmentand set up group counseling courses. The group counseling in school is the support ofcentral for students’ growth and development.Second grade students who in the affiliated high school of northwest normaluniversity as this study’s object. The second study is based on the first study, designthe intervention scheme. The data of the first study show that the developmentsituation of high school students’ self-concept, and provide the basis for furtherintervention. The conclusions of this study are as following:1.From the results of the study, we know that high school students’ scores ofself-identity and family self are higher.2. The intervention scheme is effective and viable; and the group guidance canimprove Self-concept of the High School students.
