A Report On The Translation Of Translation And Ideology: A Critical Reading

Since1990s, translation studies are increasingly concerned about the translationand ideology both at home and abroad. And the Chinese translation of the relevantadvanced translation studies is one of our accesses to the development of China’stranslation theories.This report is based on the translation of an academic paper “Translation andideology: a critical reading”. It consists of five parts: firstly, the background andsignificance of the translation project; secondly, the background of the original work,including its contents, style and the target reader; thirdly, the translation process, whichconsists of the preparation, difficulties and revise work; forth, the case studies withRaiss’ Text Typology as the theoretical support. Finally, the author ends with aconclusion that the target text should maintain the equivalence of the informative andoperative functions with those of the source text.,...
