Shi Tao is a lonely socially marginalized people, he use his words to expressemotion. His painting is a product of Zen aesthetics, which has deep roots betweenhim and Zen, Zen spirit exhibited a detached self-emptiness ethereal beauty ofartistic conception in his paintings. Shi Tao highlights the artistic beauty and charmof Zen painting in his artistic creation. Zen is the pursuit of artistic conception of"silence and ethereal". Over the painting pursuit is all universe life mingled betweenthe mountains and vegetation. Two kinds of artistic pursuit have consistency.Shi Tao’s painting theory concentrate on the combining of the nihility andreality from having no painting rules to having one then to detaching it, mutualtransformation into unity.This article from three chapters to interpret Shi Tao the painting artisticconception and the relationship between the artistic conception and zen. The firstsection of the first chapter introduced his art theory and general background, fromthe origins of Shi Tao’s life and Zen and start with the psychological change of goinginto the society. The second section start with Shi Tao’s painting theory and analysisthe ideological roots of his painting, besides, analysis his "a painting" ideologicaland artistic ontology; The second major section of this article talked about the Zenflavor in Shi Tao’s painting theory. Shi Tao’s painting focused "a painting" as themain line."A painting" interpret the unity of natureHis painting stands for "I use my method."" respect”“elementary education” ofnature is the idea of painting creation. The second section focuses on shapingcharacteristics of three aspects, the famous landscape poetry and subject. Thepainting elements followed free, have the law or not and the unity of nature andhuman. It has a subtle relationship between these elements in the creation charactersand zen. The third chapter written Zen implication of Shi Tao painting forms. In thefirst section, the meaning of life in the form of Zen painting, Shi Tao moss flauntvitality points, lines, given the dynamic screen, modeling the performance of abstraction. The last section focuses on the realm of Zen write "virtual","empty","awakening","spirit" between "ease" and painting mood virtual and real communionunified relationship.
