In recent years, China has frequently cooperated with foreign countries in aspects like economy,finance, trade, education and culture, etc. As a major in interpretation, the author took part in aninterpreting task assigned by the chairman of Canada Funded Project for Chinese Rural Female Students.The author is mainly responsible for accompanying one of the foreign donators, who is the major CEO forcontributing financial assistance to those female students. In the early stage of this interpreting practice, theauthor’s primary task is to communicate with the donator. And the most challenging part is the consecutiveinterpreting in the latter stage, which is also the core of this practice.In this report, the author aims to analyze the problems in the interpretation and put up with theaccording solutions. And the report is divided into five parts: introduction, description of the task, processof the task, the general choice of interpretation principles and strategies, quality control, self-feedback, casestudy, problems in interpretation and conclusion, among which the case study is the most significant part ofthe whole report, for the author primarily intends to use these cases to fully analyze misinterpretationduring the process. Even though it is the first official interpreting practice for the author, the task wascompleted relatively well. By taking part in such interpreting practice, it is specifically beneficial for theauthor to learn the lessons which lay a solid foundation for the future interpreting practice.
