In recent years, the great leap of the economic globalization has been a propellant ofmore and more cultural exchanges. Thus the interpreting is indispensible and crucialin these exchanges. Thus, study on the interpreting has become more and moresignificant. This report aims to do a research on the interpreter’s different roles, theroles’ different tasks, the language and non-language problem, and the interpretingquality control the author has adopted in the interpreting task.This report is based on the author’s interpreting practice which lasted for4days.The author has recorded the whole task which will be used to analyze the interpreter’sroles when the author encountered different interpreting difficulties. The author hasfound that the interpreter’s role in the Fengshui lecture is by no means single, butmultiple, including the mediator for the cultural differences, the supplementary ofextra Fengshui background information, and activator of the lecturing atmosphere.The interpreter should change their roles according to different circumstances.Furthermore, the author has conducted a case study on the quality control strategiesand made an analysis on the interpreting skills used in the interpreting practice.Hopefully, this report can provide some reference for the studies on interpreter’s rolesand quality control strategies in the Fengshui lecture.
