Research On Emotional Design That Influenced By The Sustainable Design Concept

Time is the unit of measuring things’fading away, life has been continuous in evolution and breeding since it was born. Lives on earth or extraterrestrial creatures run and survive in their own orbitsls. There are laws in the universe, there are laws of nature. Tracing the history of human designs, we are enjoying the fruits of modern designs, but the designs also gradually destroy the original harmonious relationship between human and nature at the same time.Last century, sustainable development is put forward, which has been clear about that the development should adhere to the correct direction, including the development can not only meet the needs of modern people, but also have the ability of not constitute a hazard for future generations to meet its own needs. Resources should be sustainable, the society should be sustainable, the environment should be sustainable and the life should be more sustainable. Under the trend of sustainable development, the design field has continuously put forward new ideas and proposals. Putting forward the concept of sustainable design guiding the direction of the design returning towards to nature, intimating nature, man and environment of harmonious development.This article holds that the best way that sustainable design concepts need to get the public recognition is to deep into people’s hearts in the emotional dialogue with the public. The emotion is the strongest and most vulnerable part of the human soul, which will also change our way of thinking, directly impact on people’s preferences and decision. What so called emotional design is a product, through the performance of design elements, the product can, by the influence of the person’s vision and touch, perception and feeling, make the audience have emotional fluctuations, finally make the designs meet the audience with emotional resonance, and keep this resonance mode of design activities as much as possible. Therefore, the emotional design is one of the important design for practicing the concept of sustainable designs.This article attempts to take the concept of sustainable designs as the beginning, the emotional designs as the basis, based on the theory of emotional design of Donald Norman, exploring the emotional design under the concept of sustainable designs. This article first from four design principles:communication, interactive, reflect and change and rebellion to explore the ways of expression of emotional designs. It then,combined with the excellent design work, from the five angles:emotion and reason, nature, culture and aesthetics, tells the aspect of the emotional design contains or should need to express. Finally It summarizes the practice significance of the emotional design to the development of the concept of sustainable design.In this paper concerns about the research of emotional design under the sustainable design concepts, which provide designers a theoretical basis in the way of practicing the design responsibility. The natural environment and human environment are connected with each other, this research hopes to gradually advance the sustainable development of human and environment through the designs.
