The main functions of classifiers can be divided into two categories:the noun class ification and quantification of nouns. In Chinese and Korean, classifier is an indispensa ble component. Of these, two languages the use of the classifier has certain about qualit ative and regularity. In this paper, we compare the similarities and differences of Chines e and Korean on the basis of classifiers and nouns choice relations and also for the furth er study from the perspective of cognitive relationship between nouns and the selection of classifiers.In fact, in the selection process, the relationship between the classifiers and nouns are not equivalent, but there are primary and secondary, classifier word that also known as classification. Classifier’s choice of nouns to some extent for the classification of the noun category, the properties of nouns and semantic determines the selection of a classifier. The noun is the master, choosing the dominance relations, classifier in a subordinate position. Under certain conditions measure words do not completely passive. The measure words for noun have certain restrictions, only the dialectical view of the relationship. The choice of classifiers and nouns can have a comprehensive understanding of the relationship.The first chapter of this paper is named language scholars classifier for the two countries and the different classification method and the current research status of classifiers. Through research it can be seen in Korean and Chinese classifiers are reviewing the status and value. In this paper, according to Korean scholars Wooheungsik way of classification, will be divided into sexual characters and noun combination of quantification, combined with animal nouns and plant nouns. The combination of the quantification is divided into three categories, these aspects are helpful to compare the similarities and differences in language in the choice between the two countries. From second to fourth chapter it describes respectively in Korean and Chinese character, animal and plant. The specific research method is performed by analyzing the data one by one.
