Eileen Chang and Toni Morrison are both famous female writer."The Golden Cangue" and "Beloved" are representative of Eileen Chang and Morrison’s novels.Their female protagonist Cao Qiqiao and Sethe are famous heroine images in the literary gallery. This thesis will compare and analysis the commonness and individuality of the heroine image, in order to exploring the significance and value of individual existence.This thesis has Complementary value of different culture background.The research subject is divided into five parts.Introduction consists of two parts,First,review the research papers, points out the research purpose, the research status at home and abroad and the research methods. Second, research theory,this study supports the theory of description, mainly of parallel study in comparative literature, comparative literature analysis research, feminist theory and Lacan’s psychoanalysis.The first chapter the writer, works and creation background part, mainly introducing writers and works, the creation background, which is the basic part of this research.The second chapter "the golden cangue" and "Beloved" heroine image feature comparison part, which is the main part of the study, including three parts, first, an overview of two novel heroine, second, points out the similarities between the heroine image, third, differences between the heroine image.The third chapter "the golden cangue" and "Beloved" heroine image formation explanation part, also is the main part of the study, including two parts, first, explain the causes of image similarity, second, explain the difference of image formation.The last part is conclusion, which is the summary of the above four parts.Comparison of Cao Qiqiao and Sethe’s image, there are a number of similarities between the two, the main points, they are subject to self division, they all showed abnormal maternal love; also has some differences, Cao Qiqiao showed the destruction of twisted personality and self concept of money, Sethe showed free view of paranoid personality and self remodeling.Therefore, Cao Qiqiao is always a lost woman, while Sethe is an awakening of women. Why, researchers believe that, although the two writers were committed to the construction of national women, criticize the evil in human nature, but there are differences between the literary thought, Eileen Chang paid attention to arouse women, Morrison paid more attention to female subject construction,"the golden cangue" writing time earlier, and "Beloved" is the works of feminism deepening stage.
