Along with the development of international tourism and the further opening up of its domestic market, guide-interpreter plays an important role in tourism service and business contacts. The guide-interpreter may face all kinds of communication barriers with tourists from different cultural backgrounds. Custom, religious culture and history will brought communication barriers to both sides at different levels, and the guide-interpreter should choose correct strategies in limited seconds to interpret the information of culture, history, and art to the tourists. So the study of how to effectively overcome the intercultural communication barriers has its practical significance. The author analyzed the three interpreting projects in the culture and education department of the2nd Asian Youth games from the intercultural communication levels and raised the key points and difficulties, analyze the causes and gave the corresponding solutions. The main difficulties in the project are:first, inadequate preparation and knowledge for the intercultural communication. Second, strategy-choosing when facing the communication barriers. Third, how to deal with the cultural and religious differences. The thesis gave the solutions through a comprehensive analysis:classified preparation of multiple knowledge, targeted strategy-conversion and integrated quality-cultivation. These solutions will facilitate the guide-interpreters as well as the other interpreters to fulfill the tasks correctly and effectively.
