The Application of the Theories “LIUSHU” to Chinese Characters TeachingIn resent years, with the development of the comprehensive national power ofChina, not only has been raised the attention on Chinese, but also the operation ofConfucius Institute has been well carried on, pushing the popularity of Chinese to ahigher lever.But at the same time, the problem in Chinese Characters teaching appeals to moreand more focus. Based on the Theories “LIUSHU” and combined with the <NewPractical Chinese>, this paper makes point that the Theories “LIUSHU” should beapplied to the actual teaching of Chinese Characters and how to use the Theories fromthree mainly aspects: form, meaning and sound.The research includes4chapters.The first part is the preface, this paper expounds this topic research status at homeand abroad.Chapter two introduces the current situation of foreign Chinese character teaching,which is difficult to learn, difficult to master, illustrates the urgency of foreignChinese character teaching research.Chapter three introduces the guidance of the theory “LIUSHU” in ChineseCharacter teaching, and explains from four different parts: pictograms, phonograms,associative compounds, and indicative characters.In chapter four, combining with the new words in the textbook <New practicalChinese>1, specifically applies the theory in the actual teaching process.At last concluded all the paper.
