Mate selection is an indispensable link in the human society. Humans arethrough mate choice to marriage and procreation. However, for some people, theyhave no idea to such an important process. They do not know how to search their Mr.Right, resulting in a lot of people still single in certain age. Although they are eager tolook for partners, but it’s hard to find. This is mostly due to the lack of mate selectionof understanding, but also the lack of their own understand. And they don’tunderstand what the mate they really need, also can not know what mate they can find.This study focused on the women’s self charm evaluation, and influence of theirmating propensity by others for their own charm.This thesis mainly includes the two part of the study:Study one is a combination of questionnaire and experiment. First, the subjectswas invited to fill out a questionnaire. The questionnaire include the basic personalinformation, the charm of self evaluation score, and the male candidates scoring andselection. Then the experimenter told subjects that she overvalued or undervalued selfcharm. Last they filled out another similar questionnaire. The results show that: thefirst is the consistent evaluation of female self and her own charm on all aspects of theevaluation, and female self evaluation to evaluate the character and a higher intrinsicquality, in the economic conditions of low evaluation. The second is related to theeffects of female to male and male economic situation of scoring by women age andeducation, evaluation of women’s charm and the level of their selected specific scoresare significantly correlated. Third, telling women overestimate or underestimate theego charm, will change their self charm evaluation score. let the women believe theyoverestimated their self charm, will make them select the objects whose scorerelatively lower at the time.Study two is in the form of questionnaire and slideshows. Subjects were asked tochoose mate in the real world choice, and the best men they thought and theirfavourite men. Conclusion: the women who work longer, would not be more likely tochoose the partner who is the most outstanding or like best in the real world. Thewomen with higher score of self charm have high chance to choose the partner who isthe most outstanding or like best in the real world.Through the above study comprehensive conclusions drawn: evaluation of women’s self charm has a great influence on female mate. The female love experience,working time, age, education and other personal information is also deeply influencedthe mate selection. Women in the choice of the object is not consider their ownpreferences, or simply the pursuit of the best. There is not everyone thinks the moneyfirst. Women choose mate according to their actual situation. And they arerational.With the growth of age, female becomes more realistic, and the positioning ofthe spouse becomes more suitable for themselves.
