A Research On The Construction Of "Dou+Shi+NP"

“Dou+Shi+NP” structure is a common format which is more frequently used in modern spokenChinese; however, the research on it is very less. On the basis of a lot of data, this paper combines thedescription and the explanation, form and meaning, static and dynamic, synchronic and diachronic and thestructure and function by using constructivism, functionalism, and construction grammar theory. Besides,the paper analyzes the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic cognitive of “Dou+Shi+NP” structure on everyaspect.Firstly, the paper determines the research object, and the research situation related with “Dou+Shi+NP” structure are summarized, including the present research situation of the component "Dou" and "Shi"as well as the construction of it. What is more, this paper also expounds the theory methods, the researchsignificance and the source of corpus.Secondly, the paper makes syntax analysis on “Dou+Shi+NP” structure on the basis of previousstudies. Based on the theory of construction grammar, the paper makes identification of “Dou+Shi+NP”structure, and believed that the “Dou+Shi+NP” is in the line with the construction category. Then the paperanalyzes the construction of invariant “Dou”,“Shi” and the variable terms “NP”, the paper believed “Dou”is a subjective component usage, in the process of grammaticalization of the objective truth; and the “Shi”is a judgment verb. Finally, the paper analyzes the syntax function of “Dou+Shi+NP” structure based oncorpus, and it can be used as predicate, clause and a separate sentence.The paper also analyzes the semantic analysis on “Dou+Shi+NP” structure based on the type ofsyntactic structure. The paper focus on semantic studied of the component “NP”, believed that the negativeNP prior to entering the construction, but the positive and neutral NP are also qualified to enter theconstruction. On this basis, the paper summed up the constructional meaning type of “Dou+Shi+NP”structure, that is to say, a tendency that blame, and the constructional meaning of subjective emotional levelwere studied in detail.On the basis of the above research, the paper researches the pragmatic cognitive style of “Dou+Shi+NP” on the perspective of functions schools and cognitive linguistics, mainly including stylistic features,the focus of function, discourse function and subjective feelings and color. We think that “Dou+Shi+NP”structure has the characteristics of oral expression, subjectivity, in line with the economic principle and thepoliteness principle, and can point out the component “NP” must have definite pragmatic function, and ithas the focus function. Based on the existing analysis, the paper analyzes the relationship among severalstructures in the synchronic state of forms and “Dou+Shi+NP”, and makes cognitive explanation of“Dou+Shi+NP” structure.Finally, this paper gives a survey of the research question, and points out the value and shortcomingsof the premises, meanwhile, points out that we should further research direction. It is hoped that this studywill provide reference for other related research.
