Abstract:As a neighbor of China, South Korea has kept a close contact with China since ancient times. Recent years, as the comprehensive national strength of China increases, countries all over the world, including South Korea, started to learn Chinese. The presence of a large number of Korean Chinese-character words is an advantage for Korean students to learn Chinese. The author uses the contrastive analysis theory and makes a detailed contrastive analysis of Korean and Chinese Words from pronunciation, written form and meaning between Korean Chinese-character words and corresponding Chinese words. On this basis, the author finds out the errors committed by Korean students in learning Chinese vocabulary and proposes specific teaching methods, hoping to help Korean-Chinese vocabulary teaching.Chapter1introduces the causes and significance of the topic, scope of research and methodology, as well as the current status of research; Chapter2introduces the basic concepts, backgrounds and structure of Korean Chinese Words and briefly describes their usages in South Korea from diachronic level. Chapter3and Chapter4are the main body of the thesis. Chapter3makes a contrastive analysis of Chinese and Korean word from pronunciation, written form and meaning. On this basis, Chapter4proposes the possible focal points and difficult points of Korean students in vocabulary learning. Combined with the author one year’s teaching experiences in Korea, some specific teaching strategies are proposed. Chapter5is about the conclusions, which summarize the thesis and points out the shortcomings.
