The Research On "X_Conjunction+Shuo"

In contemporary Chinese,“shuo”can be used after conjunctions to form acombined word “Xshuo”,and now it’s more and more frequent. Though there weremany scholars studied on this phenomenon so far,these studies were close to specific(single) conjunion,lack of systemetic research.And the specific differences between“Xshuo”and X are not very clear. So it’s necessary to analyze “Xshuo”systematicly.This paper tries to analysize the specific differences between“Xshuo”and X from syntactic、semantic and pragmatic aspects,and investigate thelexicalization process of “Xshuo”.this paper is divided into five chapters,in addition tothe introduction and conclusion,the body consists of three chapters.Chapter1, Introduction.Firstly,introduce the objective and the significance of thisthesis,and then summarize previous research results.At last illustrate the theoreticalmethods and corpus sources used in this paper.Chapter2, Base on defining the range of double syllable conjunction,firstlyanalyze the combined rules and constraint conditions of the combination of theconjunctions and “shuo”,and then investigate the differences of syntactic distributionbetween “Xshuo” and X;At last choose four cases,try to explore and summarize thesemantic differences between the two.Chapter3, Analyze the difference of contextual and pagmatic function between“Xshuo” and X.Firstly analyze the differences of conhesive unit、transfer mode andthe functional differences caused by movement of “Xshuo”and X;And then analyzethe differences of information transfer function between the two.Chapter4, Focus on the lexicalization process of “Xshuo”.Firstly, throughanalyze the process of all “Xshuo” to inspect if the process and the degree oflexicalization about all “Xshuo” are the same or similar;Secondly,define the nature of“Xshuo” and the function of “shuo” which is following the conjunctions on basis ofthe investigation of lexicalizatuion process;At last discuss the feature、motivation andmechanism of lexicalization of “Xshuo”.Chapter5,conclusion.Summarize the content of the whole paper, put forward theproblems in the study and list some questions which need to be research in the future.
