Studies On The Social Class Property Of Female Civil Service Group In Late Of The19th Century

This paper mainly study on the middle class women who have work experience, especially the middle-class white-collar women civil service group. By comparing data of this group, and conducting research on relevant facts, it depicts the generation and development of the middle-class women civil service in the19th century transition period, as well as its relationship with the middle class.The main contents include the following three aspects:Part I: studies on Origin of the Middle-class theory and analysis the old and new middle class for simple, By studying the old middle class middle-class transition to the new situation, the analysis demonstrated social transition characteristics, as well as the formation of the new middle class of the new features.Part II: is the focus of the article. This part makes a simple sort of the case for the middle-class women in the1870s, and it mainly starts on the family roles, education and social status for the colonial period, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War period. Thus it draws the conclusion that position of the middle-class women were changed in a constant state when it appeared. Although women have a significant change in the status of this historical stage, it is still a family-centered, constrained behind the "founding mother" and the "Republic of the mother" framework. During this period (1870-1900), though women stated to go to work, they were still restricted by the society. However, due to the changes in the subjective and objective conditions, women working group has formed a certain scale. During this period, the number of women civil service is in small quantities, but the annual growth rate is enormous. By examining the development of women civil service in education, employment and political participation and other aspects, this part analysis the trend of female professional and their employment characteristics,Social strata property.Part III: Focuses primarily on the career of the middle-class women civil service brought changes to the middle class and its reason. Through the first two parts of the discussion can be drawn: Women civil service appear and grow, along with the identity of the middle class`s social stratum, which has brought new changes to the middle class in character.Focused on women’s employment, practical significance of this paper is to examine women civil services as the main center for discussion,and to analyze the status, role and significance of women civil service groups.The number of the American contemporary women civil service is still a growing trend, China’s women also obtain civil service jobs where women’s employment trends. Through the analysis of women civil services for contemporary career, it provides a historical basis for women, especially for women civil service groups.
