Practice Report Of Interpreting In The Promotion Meeting Of BLDC Motor

With the deepening of reform and opening up, China’s economy has gone throughrapid development. More and more Chinese enterprises begin to step into the globalmarket to do business with foreign companies. The exchanges between China and foreigncountries have become more and more frequent. As a bridge of communication, the roleof interpreters has also become more and more important.When working as an intern last year, the author of this report attends the promotionmeeting of BLDC motor held by the company and does consecutive interpreting for thegeneral manager’s speech at this meeting. The content of the interpreting includes theintroduction of the company, products, and the application of BLDC motor in HeatingVentilation Air Conditioning area. Though this interpreting practice, the author applieswhat have learnt in class into practical work, thus not only practices the interpreting skills,but also realizes some weak points. By summarizing this practice, the author finishes thisreport.This practice report contains five parts. The first part introduces the historical periodof interpreting research in China and western countries, main theories, researchcharacteristics and deficiencies. The second part talks about the objective of the practice,the basic information of the meeting and the task the author undertakes in this project.The author also makes a brief summary of the completion of the project. The third partintroduces the author’s preparation before interpreting, and gives out parts of the contentof interpreting. The fourth part analyzes the difficulties the author has met during theprocess of interpreting, take note taking and figure interpreting as examples, and putsforward relative solutions. The last part is a summary of the whole project. The authortalks about the personal experience and sets some directions for improvement in thefuture.
