According to the National Hanban datas statistics,by the end of2012,Hanban with some countries had already built400Confucius Institutes and more than500Confucius classrooms of primary and secondary schools. With the advent of Chinese, the importance of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is no doubt. While teaching Chinese speech sound as the first window, phonetic teaching has become a priority among priorities of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Mr. Zhao Yuanren was said that "learning a foreign language is divided into three important parts, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary content, learning order should take the three kind of step by step. The most difficult and important one is pronunciation part, because the pronunciation is language itself and language texture, so if pronunciation be wrong, grammar will be wrong, words will be wrong, either." of his book, which is called "language problem".This paper stated the teaching principles of the phonetic teaching, explained the voice teaching contents and teaching methods, analysed the commonl mistakes of learners, and discussed the existing problems of the current phonetic teaching and research. Including the introduction and the conclusion, the paper is consisit of six parts.The introduction has discussed the aim and meaning of the topic, and made a brief introduction of the content of the paper.Chapter1has summarized the status,significance,aim and the research situation of the phonetic teaching.Chapter2has discussed the teaching principles of phonetic teaching.Chapter3, as the main content of the paper has pointed out the specific content of the initials,finals,tone and phonetics change.Chapter4has found the problems of the current phonetic teaching, and gave the strategies for that.The conclusion has point out the necessity and insufficient of the paper.
