In the21th century, the world keeps in contacts with each other closely. With thedevelopment of world economy and culture, there are more and more frequent communicationand exchanges among countries.China plays a more and more important role in theworld.More and more international conferencesare held in major cities in Chinamainland. Insuch many international conferences, the interpreter has become more and more important. Asan important bridge of communication among countries, interpreters have attracted more andmore attention. But in the past, they do not get their rightful place and not acquired theattentionthey deserve. The marginalization of translators’ occurs. The marginalizationphenomena was described as the following metaphors, such as “fettered dancer”,“translating machine”,“mouthpiece”,“servant with two masters”,“matchmaker”,“craftsman”,“traitor”. All these descriptions could reflect the status of translators in oursociety is invisible. In the practical activity of interpretation, interpreter doesn’t really play a role ofsubjectivity;moreover some interpreters don’t know how to play the subjectivity. In thisdissertation, based on the Interpretative Theory, taking Premier Wen’s Press Conference in2012as the example, the author had made a deep analysis of translator’s subjectivity. Theresearch in this dissertation has a positive and practical significance on the training andpractical work. The full dissertation is divided into four parts. The first chapter briefly introduces theresearch background, purpose, meaning and the theory support. The second chaptersummarizes the Interpretative Theory and subjectivity of translator and has a literature reviewon them. The third chapter analysis individual case of translator’s subjectivity combined withPrimer Wen’s Press Conference in2012.The forth chapter sums up to the full dissertation. The author has a conclusion through research: the Interpretative Theory applies equallyto translation and interpretation. For interpretation, because of less time, this theory can givefull play to their effect. The author has discovered: to realize subjectivity of translator in thefollowing aspects:(1) Reflection in language core from source language. In this process, interpreters should fully understand the inner meaning and make the most accurateinterpretation in a short time.(2) To realize the subjectivity separated from the sourcelanguage. Don’t rigidly adhere to the structure of source language. After fully understand themeaning, following the language habit of acceptation audience, interpreters could makeappropriate adjustment to have a more accurate meaning.(3) To transfer interpreter’s thought to audience’s thought and then recombine information. In this process, interpreter shouldmake integration and have a new expression to source language in a very short time.
