Vocabulary teaching is an important part in teaching Chinese as a second language(TCSL). It’s thekey to vocabulary learning for International students because of Chinese Appellation is used frequently inour daily life and should be mastered, it’s also one of the difficulties for students abroad in TCSL for therichness, nationality and variability of Chinese Appellation.We divide Chinese appellation into kinfolk appellation and social communication appellation based onTCSL and try to elaborate it from the perspective of culture, contrast the usage differences andcharacteristics between English appellation and Chinese appellation to find out the using rules in TCSL.With it, we count and analyse the quantity, frequency, sort and the translation of kinfolk appellation andsocial communication appellation in Hanyu Jiaocheng to find out the merits and faults, and contrast withthe record in the Outline of HSK and Put forward my own opinions and suggestions in order to promote thetextbook writing of TCSL about Chinese appellation. Finally, Combined with the problems about theChinese appellation teaching of TCSL, I put forward the teaching strategy that vocabulary teaching andculture teaching are important equally.Anyway, I think it’s complicated and not unified in the classification of all kinds of research accordingto the Chinese Appellation, so it’s necessary to establish a new classification standard and word class whichare unified and geared to the needs of TCSL, at the same time, we should strengthen and consummatetextbook writing of TCSL about Chinese appellation. it will make the Chinese Appellation teaching ofTCSL more simple and effective combine with vocabulary teaching and related culture teaching.
