With the deepening globalization of culture and economy, the strengthening of the international cooperation makes the study abroad for further study have become increasingly the choice of many Chinese students and parents, which makes the E-C translation of recruiting-students text necessary and indispensable. Belonging to different language families, English and Chinese have different thinking modes, which result in the diverse structures and usages of English and Chinese languages. Thus the research on the translation of recruiting-students text of the foreign universities is an integral part for cross-cultural communication and it is of vital importance for encouraging study abroad. The report consists of four parts: the task description, the process translation, the case analysis and the summary. On the basis of the basic theory of the differences between English and Chinese, the translator composes the thesis by using the Recruiting-Students Text of Architecture and Building College of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology as the analyzing material to study the translation of the recruiting text. In accordance with the features of recruiting text, after describing the whole process of the translation and the basic theory of the basic theory of the differences between English and Chinese, this translation practice report introduces the translation skills and strategies employed in the E/C translation of the long sentences and summarizes gains and deficiencies of the translator.
