A Study Of Literary Works In Textbooks Of Comprehensive Courses For Overseas Chinese Learners At The Present Stage

Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is a regular teaching activity to the students whose mother tongues are not Chinese, and its main content is teaching Chinese communicating skills. Comprehensive courses are the core courses of these students. Chinese culture is an important part of Chinese teaching,and the literary works are the important carriers of Chinese culture. So the literary works in textbooks of comprehensive courses are the vital ways for the students to learn Chinese culture. It is very meaningful to study literary works in textbooks for overseas Chinese learners, and it is very helpful to give some useful suggestions to the textbooks writers.In this thesis,the writer chose ten representative textbooks of comprehensive courses as models,and studied the condition of the literary works in textbooks. The writer found that there are two problems of the textbooks:the genres and the classical literature works are too few.Besides, the writer made comparison of it between the English textbooks for Chinese high school students and the Chinese textbooks for Chinese ethnic minority high school students. The writer found out that there are many things to improve in the genres and the classical literature works of the textbooks. And according to the effects of works in different genres and from different ways,the writer made the suggestions:to add more genres and more classical literature works to the textbooks.
