In the 1990 s, the Chinese literary world entered an age when the orthodox tradition was easily disintegrated and an age of game-like dominance. Wang Xiaobo’s "Cultural Revolution" novels appeared properly. His writing could easily get along well with the culture environment of 1990 s, when the social transformation was on. His writing also had something in common with the wave of writing about "Cultural Revolution".But when he began to publish many of his novels and his literary reputation was booming, he suddenly died, which not only surprised the Chinese literary world but also made his novels more familiar to a wider range of people. It also made his "Cultural Revolution" narration arouse the interest of researchers.Wang Xiaobo’s literary narration on the "Cultural Revolution" was clearly an alternative one. The alternative narration lies in that he used a ironic way to reproduce the history which had already a conclusion in an absurd way. He never conducted tearfully but in a very playful way,a way which belongs to the black humor. He criticized fiercely the leftist political ideology which had put down human nature for a long time. Before him, although Wang Shuo’s novels had been mocking on the "Cultural Revolution", but his novels continued the worship to the revolutionary heroes at that time, which made the digestion meaning in his novels at a discount. Wang Xiaobo’s literary narration on the "Cultural Revolution", which was quite advanced, was quite different from Wang Shuo’s postmodernism narration. He removed the weight of heroism and idealism, which the En-lighteners advocated. He easily draw out a alternative picture of daily life in the "Cultural Revolution".He deliberately disintegrated the awareness of the suffering from the martyrs and reflected on the suffering history of the "Cultural Revolution" in a hippy-like way. He refused the dominance and the tradition, standing at the edge of culture to observe the life conditions of people of certain ages. We can safely say that Wang Xiaobo’s subversion and rebellion on the "Cultural Revolution" values was based on his maintenance for individualism. His historical narration was to put the little guy and microscopic narration at the center position, intending to guide readers to reflect on the "Cultural Revolution", rather than give them the final nail type of conclusion. On the one hand, in Wang Xiaobo’s novels, we can see some kind of deconstruction, the deconstruction of power, the deconstruction of history and the deconstruction of seemingly logical and rational political discourse in the "Cultural Revolution". He used "sex discourse" as a central metaphor for his writing and the subversive deconstruction game as his idea shell. He explained the unique historical phenomenon——the "Cultural Revolution" in an absolutely anti-traditional, anti-noble game-like spirit. On the other hand, we can find from the art form that his novels had characteristics of Innate story disorder, time fragmentation, carnivalesque, which belongs to the characteristics of postmodernism. In his arrangement for time and space in narration and writing style, we can see a surprisingly consistency with postmodern aesthetic.Modernism is philosophically based on rationalism and realism. However, postmodernism is philosophically based on romanticism and individualism. Although some people believe that Wang Xiaobo’s writing belongs to modernism or new realism, the writer still hold the opinion that his absolute anti-tradition, anti-ration and anti-integrity shows the characteristic of postmodernism, which makes up the characterization of his "Cultural Revolution" narration.
