Language is the carrier of culture, is a mirror of social development. In recent years, with the rapid development of Chinese society, Chinese has been constantly updated. As an important part of Chinese, the development of contemporary Chinese catchwords growth has attracted wide attention from all sectors of society.But at present, the scanty of academic research results of the popular Chinese language and teaching Chinese as a foreign language are combined, according to the study of contemporary Chinese popular language learning of students in Thailand is still blank.In the face of this situation, this article through the questionnaire survey method, investigated advanced stage of students in Thailand about the use of popular language in Contemporary Chinese. The survey found that, Thailand advanced stage students have interest in learning of contemporary Chinese popular words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, it is necessary to integrate into the Chinese language teaching. According to the characteristics of word formation and regular contact with students in Thailand contemporary Chinese catchwords in Chinese popular words, will be divided into homophonic, acronyms, numbers, and other four categories on the basis of different types, to grasp the situation of Chinese catchwords conducted a survey analysis, summed up the Chinese characters, letters class and class popular because of its simple and convenient features are most Thailand students, and foreign language classes and the source of harmonics produced by the China social phenomenon of Chinese popular words because it related to the daily life and students in Thailand is not close enough, master degree is relatively low. Finally, according to the different causes of problems in the survey and its, put forward three basic principles of advanced level students of Thailand contemporary popular Chinese language classroom teaching, namely, the principle of relevance, the principle of suitability, the principle, and the five main teaching methods, namely, direct method, etymology, morpheme, interpretation of the law the analogy method, situational method, and the popular Chinese language extracurricular learning ways and methods and puts forward related suggestions.
