College English stratified teaching is to teach different college students different level English in different teaching methods, to establish different English teaching objectives and teaching scheme with different contents, to carry out different students managing systems and evaluating models, and to make each student on their own English basis make progress, so it reflects the hierarchy in teaching. The author takes Gansu Normal University for Nationalities as an example to investigate and research college English stratified teaching and management in national universities with the approach of collecting literature, taking questionnaire, interview and case study etc..In the introduction of the thesis, it mainly refers to the research background and the significance, reviewing the history of stratified teaching in China and Abroad, presenting theoretical basis of stratified teaching and related definitions clearly. In the body part, it introduces the implementation, the investigation of questionnaires and the interview of college English stratified teaching management in Gansu Normal University for Nationalities; it analyzes the rising issues in the process of stratified teaching management, such as students, teachers, and other management aspects; and it proposes the related countermeasures. The last is the conclusion to briefly describe the enlightenment of this study and the unexplored issues.
