As a language form with different structures and abundant connotations, folk adages always have important position among Chinese vocabulary. While in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, folk adage teaching has great influence on the teaching process. However, there is not a standard teaching system of folk adages teaching. Folk adages teaching can not only help the students improve their ability of oral Chinese, but also enhance their knowledge of Chinese traditional culture. Therefore, a folk adage teaching is necessary for Chinese teaching.This paper discusses the different categories of folk adages; collect the folk adages from some Chinese language resource material. The author analyzes the meaning of folk adages teaching from three aspects. And author mainly presents some useful suggestions upon daily folk adages teaching.
