Language teaching and culture teaching are inextricably linked, which in foreign language teaching profession has become a consensus. The purpose of TCFL(Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language) is to train students to use Chinese to communicate. Only the language teaching and culture teaching together can eliminate barriers in Chinese Communicating, so that learners can really understand the meaning of Chinese language, and how to use Chinese to communicate, then they can realize the purpose of TCFL.Based on the summary and analysis of predecessors’ point of view, combined with my understanding,this paper distinguishes the concepts of culture teaching and culture elements in TCFL.We choose the main chinese textbook "Road to success" to classify the culture elements and the data which is statistically analyzed. Also, how to import the culture elements to teaching materials and the rules should be followed in the process of teaching are briefly discussed. At the same time, in order to provide some operating basis for the teaching and achieve better results, we also put forward some methods of culture elements teaching in TCFL.
