Since the reform and opening up,with the developing of economy and culture, China’s international status has been improving constantly. China and Chinese language is very popular, The cause of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL) has been developing vigorously. In 1970s to 1980s,the "practice-exercise" model course of TCSL turned to the comprehensive course. Comprehensive course occupies a very important position in the course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The effect of comprehensive course will influence other courses of TCSL such as oral class or reading class. Therefore, comprehensive course has been a key point and difficult point of TCSL in a very long period.Teaching design is that planning a classroom teaching. A scientific and reasonable teaching design will not only do good to achieving a good teaching effect, but also make students yield twice the result with half the effort. In recent decades, the study about comprehensive course of TCSL is more focused on the property, goal and task of it, but the teaching design of comprehensive course of TCSL can be rarely seen. Accordingly, I am trying to do some study about the teaching design of comprehensive course of TCSL.This paper discusses the teaching design of comprehensive course of TCSL,and with the text " I love music more than you " as an example, the design of four hours of teaching process. Through a variety of teaching methods, such as the literature research method, the comparative analysis method, the classroom observation method, the investigation method of the questionaire, explore the needs and attention may appear in the elementary Chinese comprehensive course teaching problem areas.
