Effective teaching design is an important point in primary comprehensive course in TCSL. Because primary comprehensive course is the core curriculum and it is responsible for learning systematically pronunciations, Chinese characters, vocabularies, grammars, and so on. Meanwhile, teachers should fully improve learners’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, maximize achieve teaching objectives. These are closely related to effective teaching design.This paper discusses the basic situation about Happy Chinese I, concrete analyzes to teaching design of primary comprehensive course in TCSL, studies the frequently-used teaching methods of each part.The first part is the introduction, which explains the reason of choosing the topic, research status, research object and research methods.The second part is the analysis about the nature, teaching objectives, teaching characteristics, teaching contents and teaching methods of the primary comprehensive course.The third part is the analysis of Happy Chinese I. It is aimed at finding out the appropriate teaching methods about pronu nciations, Chinese characters, vocabularies and grammars.The fourth part is the specific instructional design of the Bus Station in Advance.
