Comparative Study On The Language Style Of Chinese Translation Of ’’the Cherry Orchard” Under The Perspective Of Functional Equivalence Theory

Chekhov is one of the greatest critical realist writer in the 19 th century, when talk about the masterpiece of critical realism, the cherry orchard, has always been popular in Russia. The director of different times from the Angle of the Chekhov understanding of its own, with the great playwright silently with spiritual dialogue, gives the cherry orchard across literary charm of The Times.If you want to make a great play more vivid and can be remembered, we should consider the stage effect. In stage of Russia, “the cherry orchard”play the characters through dialogue,external expression,etc. to show their inner feelings vividly. Many foreign translators,including our China famous translators Mantao, Jiaojuyin, Tongdaoming, Gengshizhi, etc.,they all translate into a lot of effort for “the cherry orchard”.In “the charry orchard”,one of the most difficult of language style,is also the most translators racking their brains,this article,from the perspective of “functional equivalence”,we will focus on comparing words convey style equivalence “cherry orchard”Chinese translation.Introduction of this paper introduces the academic Chekhov‵s play “the cherry orchard”,the research status and significance,the relevant research literature were classified and summarized.The text is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is Nida‵s “functional equivalence”translation theory,this paper introduces the concept of functional equivalence theory respectively,the four aspects of functional equivalence theory,the theory of functional equivalence translation principle;The second chapter are the characteristics of the drama script and translation of drama script,respectively of the drama script the three characteristics and the translation;The third chapter is the key part of this paper---Chekhov‵s “cherry orchard” of Chinese translation case.Respectively introduces the two translators and two kinds of translations.In grasping the original language style based on the use of functional equivalence theory,a comparative analysis of lexical,syntactic and rhetorical dimensions of two Chinese language style to convey the problem.Coenvey the style in the translation process is concerned,although there are many constraining factors,but the overall style is translatable only change die translation,translation of the form of hard,take a flexible approach in order to realize the style of interpretation.In this paper,we focus translation of “the cherry orchard” on Jiaojuyin and Mantao,by text reading comparative studies and case law from the theory of the functional equivalence to study the translation into Chinese language style to convey this problem,this is exactly the innovation of this paper lies.
