German functional translation theories were prevailing in last 1950 s and 1960 s, and then based on this translation theory, Rice and Newmark put forward a new theory in succession that different translation methods should be adopted by different types of texts, that is to say,Text Typology, with maturity translation system, the theory translation practice also has great significance. According to the requirements of Text Typology, translators are supposed to confirm text types in written translation, and then take the appropriate translation measures. As one of communication channels of spreading Chinese culture, tourism text is rich in contents and categories,while analysed in Text Typology, tourism text is a practical text which combines informational function and vocational function together, therefore translator should fully grasp it in practical translation. With the development of relationship between China and Russia, a series of activities have been implemented, such as “Year of Language”, “Year of Tourisms ” and so on,with the implementation of activities, tourism between two countries has ushered in a new expectation. Therefore given the current of analysis is made on extremely limited tour brochures between Chinese and Russian,the poor quality of translation and the texts collected in Beidaihe during internship to confirm that the Type Typology has practical significance on tourism text, especially on tour brochures of Chinese-Russian.This thesis consists of four parts, in introduction recommended present tourism situation in China and Beidaihe generally summarize research status and methods of this thesis and originality; the body is divided into three chapters: The first chapter is mainly about theory outline, which tells related content of Text Typology; the second chapter declares related information about tourism text to fully make people comprehend tourism text; thirdchapter is the main part of body text, which starts with the Russian-Chinese translation about local brochures and leaflets,like foreign hotel brochures and physical therapy centers leaflets, including the analysis on its problems; and then it comes up with feasible translation on tourism text based on Rice’s Text Typology and practical translation methodology;the fourth chapter is the conclusion of this paper, which sums up Text Typology’s guiding significance in the translation of tourism text and practical function of tour brochures.
