"Zai X ye Y" and "zai ye Z"two set forms in modern Chinese, are examined in this paper, which learners need to master in their study of Chinese as a foreign language. Analyses are made on syntactic form, grammatical meaning and other aspects of these two forms, On the basis of ontology research, to make feasible advice on TCFL and whereby to aid both of teachers and learners."Zai X ye Y" is so complex that it is divided into 4 types against basic forms, syntactic features, grammatical meanings and so on, zai A1/AP1 ye A2/AP2; zai A/AP ye V/VP; zai V1/VP1 ye V2/VP2; zai V/VP ye A/AP. The collocation of adverb "zai" and "ye" makes a concession format, which indicates that the result is immune to any change. Besides, a research is made into the features of "X". It’s also noted that "ye Y" can be transferred from positive to negative in some condition which comes into the subjective."Zai ye Z" is contrasted with "zai X ye Y" to show their connection and distinction, which is believed to be of help in Chinese teaching. This format is classified into 6 kinds according to the privative after statistical analysis,which covers the mistakes international students make when apply these two format,intending to make some suggestions to improve this situation.
