Junior high school students in a special period of physical and mental development, itsbehavior problems has been paid more and more attention, but relatively little systematicstudy and comprehensive intervention on behavior problems in junior middle school students.Behavior problems of junior middle school students can be controlled, through in-depth studyof junior high school students with behavior problems, not only conducive to the treatment ofbehavior problems, more conducive to the prevention of behavior problems.In this paper,through the investigation of the current situation of junior school students’ behavior problems,to explore the relationship between parenting style, irrational beliefs and behavior problemsbetween the three. Finally, group of junior high school students through the experimentalgroup counseling intervention to further explore the irrational beliefs influence on behaviorproblems. The results show that:(1) Six kinds of behavior problems of junior school students ranked according to theseverity, are learning maladaptive behavior, test anxiety, aggressive behavior, neurotic,inwithdraw, delinquent behavior.(2) Behavior problems of junior middle school students in demographic variables weresignificantly different. Violations, boys higher than girls; inwithdraw, neurotic, test anxietyand behavior problems exam scores, boys were significantly lower than girls; different gradesof the students in the learning maladaptive behavior, delinquent behavior, inwithdraw,neurotic, test anxiety and the total score of behavior problems are significantly different; ruralmiddle school students all kinds and the total score of behavior problems in rural middleschool students significantly higher than the city; in addition to aggressive behavior, the restof the behavior problems and the total score, the non only child is significantly higher thanthat of only child; family economic conditions of different junior high school students havesignificant differences in learning maladaptive behavior, antisocial behavior, neurotic, testanxiety and behavior problems score.(3) Junior high school parenting style often used are: emotional warmth, over protection, refusal. Junior high school students’ irrational beliefs level is in the middle level, and slightlylower than the norm, each dimension from highest to lowest are: absoluteness desire, passivethinking, irrational coping, distort sensation.(4) Father’ emotional warmth, mother’s emotional warmth make a significant negativecorrelation with behavior problems score and each factor score. Father’s rejection, mother’srejection, father’s over protection, mother’s over protection, total scores of irrational beliefsand each factor score show a significant positive correlation to total scores of behaviorproblems and each factor score.(5) Father’s rejection, father’s emotional warmth, mother’s over protection play animportant role on behavior problems.(6) The irrational beliefs of group counseling intervention curriculum effectivelyimprove the rational level beliefs of junior high school students.(7) The irrational beliefs of group counseling intervention curriculum effectivelyimprove behavior problems of junior middle school students.
