Report On Chinese Translation Of The Project Of Microfuel Cell Research

With the development of society and the progress of science and technology,communication is increasing around the world. English, the most widely used language inthe world, has gradually become an important media in which we can acquire newinformation from outside, see and learn professional skills of the leading western field.To accelerate self-development and develop exchanges and cooperation, researchersinevitably need to look up numerous scientific and technical literatures of modern countries,which objectively create more translation opportunities. The importance of translator andtranslated texts prominently shows during the communication.On the basis of the translation on the MFC project, the author, employing the translationtheory acquired on campus in combination with the practical problems, summarize thecommon procedure of translating chemistry and chemical industry texts. It mainly includespreparations before translation, process control and quality control during translation andsummarization after translation. Based on the general characteristics of scientific andtechnological texts as well as the practical problems during project translation, the reportalso analyzes the strategies of translating chemistry and chemical industry texts throughspecific examples.
