Now the Chinese education in Thailand is their native students,international students,officials and staff oriented,fewer for the non-native Chinese teachers who cannot be ignoredfrom the current situation that are becoming the main force in promoting Chinese language andculture in Thailand and affecting their students very much.The literature at present just lean onthe macroscopic and objective view,lacking of the specific documents and materials about theteaching methods.So it’s necessary to work over the right teaching methods according to theteaching content and structure,to satisfy their desires on learning Chinese in short-timetraining.Consequently I study and synthesize kinds of literature about short-time training coursefor adult learners who are not in the target language context,and to do the discussion into theteaching methods for zero-based Thai teachers in short time.The thesis is supported by theproject called Nong Khai Teachers’ Short-time Chinese Training Course,and the objects of studyare teachers in Nong Khai province.It is a study with respect to teaching methods which arerelated to the learning motivation,characteristics and needs of adults,etc.The thesis discourses theeffect of the teaching methods which including the Grammar Translation Method,the DirectMethod,the Audio-Lingual Method,the Communicative Approach,the Performed CultureApproach etc.in systematical way, combing the theory and field research.And it is conducted toproviding some practical experience for the training centers and Chinese teachers to help thelearners accomplish the tasks and achieve the aim.
