In the21st century, the economy is developing rapidly. Along with theacceleration of urbanization, a growing number of foreign population influxto large and medium-sized cities, who has become an integral part of urbanconstruction. In the huge number of migrant workers, there is a group to bereckoned with, children of migrant workers. As the future builders andsuccessors of the city, how is their specific life satisfaction? And what abouttheir SWB level? Specific life satisfaction is an important content thatreflects SWB. Through studying the specific life satisfaction of the migrantworkers’ children from higher grades, people can put forward promotionstrategy to enhance their SWB level, which is able to help them adapt to livein the city as soon as possible, and thus it can provide a scientific basis forthe research about the mental health of migrant workers’children.In this study, with the questionnaire survey method,223migrantworkers’children from grade4to6of five primary schools in Hohhot, InnerMongolia are chosen as the research subjects. Meanwhile, the survey selects317urban household students from the same grades of these schools as acontrol group, using multidimensional students’ life satisfaction scale toinvestigate the current situation of SWB. Through descriptive statistics,variance analysis, and correlation analysis, it is able to understand thecurrent status and characteristics of their SWB, which can be the basis to putforward promotion strategy to enhance the SWB level of migrant workers’children.The results show that from grade4to6in primary schools in Hohhot,(1) The SWB of the pupils is in the mid to upper level and the one of theurban household pupils is higher than the one of migrant workers’ children.(2) The SWB of the pupils from grade4to6in Hohhot is related to theirgrade, the higher their grade is, the higher their SWB.(3) The SWB of migrant workers’ children varies greatly in grade, whether live on campus,whether there is a fixed housing, while there is as near as makes nodifference in gender, whether the only child, whether eat in places likenurseries, father’s educational level, family location, school location andother variables.(4) The SWB of migrant workers’ children is positivelycorrelated with their academic performances.On the basis of relevant literature, this research discusses the promotionstrategy to improve the SWB of migrant workers’ children from the society,school, family and themselves.The main conclusions are as followed,(1) The SWB of the pupils from grade4to6in Hohhot is in the mid toupper level.(2) The SWB of the pupils from grade4to6in Hohhot is related to theirgrade, the higher their grade is, the higher their SWB.(3) The SWB level of migrant workers’ children is lower than that ofurban household pupils and the results vary greatly in the following aspects,whether live on campus, whether there is a fixed housing, and in thedifferent grade.
