The Investigation Of The Current Situation Of International Promotion Of Chinese And Needs Of Chinese Learning In Cuba

Recently,China has focused more and more on the development of the relations between itself and Latin Counties,especially the relation with Cuba,which has a great strategical meaning.As the pioneer of Chinese culture in the battlefield of world culture exchanging,Confucius Institute takes on a big mission to promote Chinese and spread Chinese culture,and it is also the biggest and most direct way for Cuban to get access to know about China and learn Chinese.In consideration of the field investigation about the international promotion of Chinese is so short,taking advantage of the the cherishable chance to teach Chinese in Havana University in Cuba,we set about this investigation of the current situation of international promotion of Chinese and needs of Chinese learning in Cuba.First of all,investigate the history and the current situation of Chinese spreading in Cuba by the methods of referring to materials,interviewing and observing.Then,based on the current situation,investigate the Chinese learners’ needs of Chinese learning in Cuba by the methods of questionnaire,interviewing and analysis,including the aspects of basic information,learning purposes,teachers,text books and teaching procession and so on.Finally,based on those results of the researches and investigations above,combining with the practical situation of Confucius Institute at Havana University,offer related strategies and suggestions to Confucius Institute at Havana University for its sustainable development,including the aspects of curriculum setting,selection and writing of the textbook,the integration of learning resources,cooperation with related organizations,and the construction of the training mode of Chinese teachers and talents.The results of this investigation has a big significance on Chinese promotion in Cuba,and it also could provide referential experience to the field investigations of this area.
