| In recent years, China’s economy develops fast. As an important part of Chineseeconomy, state-owned enterprises enjoy a good development momentum and go to theworld stage. Many SOEs hire foreign staff to introduce advanced technology andmake them more internationalized.This thesis is a retrospective report on a simulated CI. The author chose a speechon an annual commending conference of the Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd,and did a simulated CI on the material. Then the author analyzed this interpretationand made a conclusion in this thesis.This thesis consists of three chapters. In Chapter one, the author analyzed thefeatures of the speech and prepared for the knowledge about the company’s field andterms with Chinese characteristics. Then she introduced the process of the simulating.Chapter two lists problems in this interpretation, including unnecessary pauses,information loss, and mistranslation. Chapter three analyzes these problems andprovides countermeasures.The annual conferences of SOEs can reflect the company’s culture, and suchspeeches are with Chinese characteristics. To study and improve their interpretationcan help the foreign staff to better understand the company’s spirit and to fullyparticipate in the company’s production and operation. The author hopes that thissimulating and this thesis can provide some experience for the interpretation aboutsimilar source texts in the future. |
