A Report On The Chinese English Translation Of The Profile Of CreditEase Inclusive Company

Nowadays, more and more Chinese enterprises go abroad and get involved in the furious international competitions. And with the development of technology, the Internet has become an important information exchange platform in business activities, while the English translation of enterprise profile on official website plays a vital role. Excellent English profile on the website could precisely express the service orientation of enterprises, help enterprises set up good international image, promote international trade activities and finally increase enterprises’ economic benefit. The translation from Chinese into English of enterprise profile has strong practical value.Although it is an important kind of practical translation, few researches on the enterprise profile translations have been done. Most of the present studies are about theoretical analysis research from the perspectives of culture, discourse or language, without effective solutions, which can not provide normative guidance. In this report, the author takes a specific enterprise as an example, translates it by herself, and then makes the research report according to the problems found in the translation process. The author hopes to find problems and relevant solutions for providing some valid reference and guidance for the C-E translation of the corporate profile.This research report is divided into four main chapters. The first chapter gives a simple introduction of the translation mission. The second chapter describes the translation process. The third chapter is the case analysis which mainly focuses on the problems encountered in the translation process. These problems are about word translation, sentence with no subject translation and long sentence translation. As for word translation, literal translation and zero translation are used; as for the sentences with no subject, the author uses three methods including adding proper subject, using "it" as the subject and converting sentence constituents; as for long sentences, phrasing method and subordinate clause method are used. The last chapter is a practice summary.
