The Acceptance Of Stan Lai Crosstalk Drama In China

The three ones of Stan Lai’s "cross-talk dramas" have been performed, which has not only enriched the marketing of dramas, but provided wonderful drama works for the audience in the mainland China. Additionally, his drama works have exchanged with drama societies in mainland China, developing cultures in both sides. However, there are so many cultural issues that are worthy of being researched in the process of their works’ entering the mainland China, like the relationship between policy and culture, the meanings of different versions of cross-talk drama, the exploration of the common points between both sides etc.. The big box office of cross-talk drama has allowed the scholars to research it. In the plenty of academic articles, there exist two kinds of research methods:one for drama and the other for cross-talk. Based on Stan Lai’s cross-talk drama works, this article would explore all the cultural events from the birth of his cross-talk drama until the development of his cross-talk drama in mainland China, and analyze the two kinds of research methods in academics.
