Many Chinese prepositions are flexible in the sentence structure. They can be put at the beginning of the sentence, between the subject and the predicate, and at the end of the sentence. The preposition reveals different grammatical meanings according to different objects.(Prepositions with similar meanings are difficult to differentiate.) All of these are the problems for foreign learners, which contribute to writer paying attention to the preposition study of foreign learners. This paper chose three prepositions of "dui, duiyu, guanyu", which have high error rates, and take the English-speaking foreign learners as respondents. First, analyze three prepositions from the aspect of grammatical meaning, syntactic structure and pragmatics. Then, compare three propositions with English. The study presents that there is much in common among three prepositions and some slight differences between the Chinese prepositions and the English ones. At the same time, based on the Theory of Error Analysis, this paper will analyze the errors and sum up the error types, which are missing, redundant, mixing, mis-sequence and compound errors. Based on the research on ontology, comparative analysis and error analysis, this paper probes the cause of error. At last, there will be some teaching advice. This paper will help the teachers predict, explain and correct the errors better, improve teaching quality and help the foreign learners have a better understanding of three prepositions.
