The Operating Mechanism Of Cultural Capital In Local Cultural Industry Of Taiwan

This paper explores the local cultural industry of Taiwan through methods of literature analysis and case study.Predicated on the review of relevant researches,this paper proposes an analysis framework of cultural capital’s operating mechanism for the purpose of explaining an effective combination of culture and industry,that is,how to upgrade and transform the industry by using cultural capital and how to add the economic and cultural value by industrialization. The study is based on four aspects:the type of cultural activities,the development of cultural products and industrial agglomeration,the construction of product certification system,and cultural education of the resident in Baihe.The author argues that five key factors contribute to the success of Baihe:1.using cultural capital effectively; 2.carrying out diverse cultural activities; 3.the implementation of industry alliance,4.valuing public private partnership,5.the development of community education of aesthetics.
