This is a report on the translation of Climate Confusion, which reveals the causes of climate change and the complex truth behind the hype of global warming. The report first gives an overview of the translation practice task that I completed in collaboration with four other MTI students. Then, it focuses on the salient type of problem that the translator dealt with in the translation process, that is, the translation of typical language features. Within the framework of the Skopos theory, it analyses the distinctive language features in the context of translation and then suggests some viable coping tactics. This project, on one hand, has led the translator to a good command of irony and metaphor and their relevant translation strategies. On the other hand, it has invited us to think that researchers and environmentalists alike should reconsider the issue of climate change and uncover its underlying mechanism in an objective manner so that the general public will be able to understand its manifestations and consequences with reasonable accuracy.
