The Study Of The Female Role Changing Process In Hollywood Action Movies

This study aimed to explore the female role changing process in Hollywood action movies by combining feminism theory for purposive sampling and content analysis.Purposive sampling analysis methods helps shaping the basic lines in Hollywood action movies, basing on the lines of ―Oppression Redeemer-Faith Pursuer-Heroine who saves the world; then taking Chinese action movies as examples to card the female role change in domestic action movies, basing on the lines of―Women with external beauty-Women with internal beauty pursuing external beauty-Women focusing on inward world.The study codes totally 255 female subjects as samples in 23 007 series of movies, Statistic analysis measures like Data description, Reliability analysis, validity analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis and Independent samples T test are employed, the data were analyzed mostly by utilizing the SPSS 21.0 Chinese version, intent to induce the changing process in 007 series of movies. The study shows that the status of women in the movies is strengthened and useful, but the situation that they gazed by male was reduced. Accordingly, the study presents that the new era of female roles have changed in Hollywood action movies, such as status strengthed, abilities become outstanding and more focus on their own thought. But from feminist perspective, the female roles gazed by male still seriously in action movies.
