The Research Of The Southern Singing Poem: 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》

《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》 is a typical representative of the southern singing system in Qing Dynasty. It talks about the ups and downs of the governor of Jiangnan Rivers during the Chien-lung reign.This content spread in Nanchang, Xiushui, Tonggu areas of Jiangxi Province with the text named 《Nan gua ji》.Taoism was origined and developed in Jiangxi Province.The development of local-custom literature is affectd by Taoism more or less.So is the 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》. There are great relations between the singing poem and Taoism. At the same time, as the typical representive of "night song" in Hunan and Jiangxi province, on the one hand, 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian)) reflects that the local people will add some long folk narrative poem when they hold a funeral,on the other hand, it reflects something about the local folk belief.This thesis is based on the text of 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》, we investigate it in three parts.In the fist part, we investigate the editions of 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》.Compared with 《Nan gua ji》 which has the same content with 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》 in many different aspects, we confirm the origin time and spreading region of 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》.We also arrange the editor, preforming occasions and so on.In the second part, we investigate the details of 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》.At first,we arrange the ralationships between main character,he narrative clue,relevant details and so on.Then we compare the content of the rap with true record in history.And we particularly analyze the connections between the death of Zhou Xuejian and Xiaoxian Empress’s burial, Wu Tongren’s bride. It makes preparation for the relations between custom literature and stangard history in the following content.In the third part, we investigate the narrating modes and value of 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》. Comparing with other local-costum literature in Qing Dynasty, for example, 《Mang Niu Zhen Gu Ci》、《Hu Yan Qing Da Lei Shuang Bian Ji》,we analyse the classical narrating modes and image that 《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》 used. With the preparation before, we summarize that《Shuo Chang Zhou Xuejian》 has great value in reflecting the singing about Jiangxi Province in Qing Dynasty. And we are certain that the singing poem makes great contribution in knowing the psychology and the attitude to some history event of the local people. As a result, we explore the supplement to standard history of the folk document.
